How does it benefit many Christian clergymen?
23. How does it benefit many Christian clergymen?
The IHR says:
It correlates with the Old Testament idea of Jews being the persecuted
"Chosen People." It also keeps the Israeli-controlled "Holy
Land" accessible to the clergy.
Nizkor replies:
Perhaps some clergyman can comment on this. (We know of no case
where a Christian clergyman has stood at his pulpit and exclaimed
"Thank goodness for the Holocaust! Because of it, we can continue
having access to the Holy Land...." but perhaps the IHR can
provide us with a citation....)
