You are, as usual, incorrect. "Volunteers" were used in the Dachau
experiments but:

"The 'heavenly chariot' as the van [for Raschler's experiments] was
named, spread horror throughout the entire concentration camp. The first victims
were recruited by the labor assignment office as a special detail offering
supplemental rations. Volunteers innocently reported. But after a few days, dark
rumors filtered through the camp. No longer did anybody volunteer. The victims
were then simply taken from the prisoner barracks under the most varied pretexts.
Unsuspecting new arrivals were preferred." Deposition of Hermann Haller, a
prisoner at Dachau ("The Buchenwald Report" page 370)
