Another lie from Matt Giwer. Erco was identified as silica gel
back in February, as Mr. Giwer undoubtedly knows (and would
rather forget, no doubt)...

Mr. Giwer has been posing the possibility that a witness might not
have seen Zyklon-B in the form of "blue crystals." He has
further stated that Zyklon-B was simply hydrogen cyanide gas
adsorbed onto small pellets of "kitty litter." He also stated on
one occasion that the product was blue because liquid HCN was blue,
which is patently false. Rather than detract and admit his mistake,
he went on to tell he had _not_ said that but rather that the 'blue'
color was due to a reaction between the hydrogen cyanide and the
support material, which is highly unlikely.

Mr. Giwer has also suggested that Zyklon-B was only produced in the
manner described above, rather than on various supports, insisting
that the information given on the patents was not reliable. He did
not accept that Zyklon-B was produced employing treated lignite
disks, treated diatomaceous earth and, more important, on cubes of
silica gel. This last material appears to be a crystal although, of
   course it is not.

Mr. Giwer has been made aware of this. For example, on January 30th, he
called Mr. Mazal "shit for brains" and quoted this text back to him:

Of course silica gel is bluish, as pointed out by Pressac and
by the Degesch manual, which Mr. Giwer himself has quoted numerous times:

   blue cubes (Erco)

In other words, Mr. Giwer has been caught in yet another lie -- how many
does that make? Are we up to thirty yet?

Really, Mr. Giwer. Have you no shame?

"PAUL WALDMANN: In this small room [at Sachsenhausen] there was a slot
in the wall,
approximately 50 centimeters in length. The prisoner of war stood with
the back of his head
against the slot and a sniper shot at him from behind the slot. In
practice this arrangement did not
prove satisfactory, since the sniper often missed the prisoner. After 8
days a new arrangement
was made. The prisoner, as before, was placed against the wall; an iron
plate was then slowly
lowered onto his head. The prisoner was under the impression that he was
being measured for
height. The iron plate contained a ramrod which shot out suddenly and
poleaxed the prisoner with
a blow on the back of the head. He dropped dead. The iron plate was
operated by a foot lever in
a corner of the room. "
