DUTY

Duty.  An ideal enshrined by the European peoples throughout our
existence.  It means doing right when wrong's temptation is fetching.  It
means speaking the truth when error is fashionable. 

It's what a leader upholds regardless of the consequences. 

As a leader, I have obligations to my ideals.  I have obligations to
people.  I have obligations to people within the so-called "movement." 

I have returned to fulfill my obligations, my duty.  Don't think, however,
it's the "duty" alot are hoping for. 

A leader directs his soldiers to do battle in a militarily professional
way.  He leads them towards victory, when victory is rationally possible. 
He may even have to lead his men on a tragic mission so civilian lives may
be protected. 

On the other hand, a good leader, a leader who cares for his troops as his
friends, even as his family, must also have the foresight and courage to
disengage when the battle is over, where further sacrifice would serve no
purpose other than vain glory.  A real leader has the honor to instruct
his troops to stand down, though other mad generals rant and rave,
screaming for the young ones to charge into a field of misery, even death,
for "the cause." 

I have returned, for a time, as a leader many respect, many looked to,
many were inspired by.  I have come to say, "Enough!"  I am here to tell
those young ones, the "cannon-fodder" for the money-idolizing maniacs of
the "movement," to stand down. 

Your lives mean more to me than earning yourselves prison for Pierce or a
bullet for Burdi.  To me, you are young Aryans with a future; to them, you
are an instrument in a personal political quest.  Expendable. 
Replaceable.  You are pawns in a game played by small men with large egos. 
You are tools for the fulfillment of power trips, grandiose schemes,
lunatic, unrealizable designs on America and the world. 

I feel as you do.  I understand the frustration of our generation about
the radical transformation of America in our lifetimes.  I share your
despair, your dreams -- shattered, in most cases -- your hopes,
unfulfilled.  Of course I do, because that's why my works have been
received so warmly by so many. 

Much has been said about the failure of the "movement" to attract White
women to its ranks.  The misogynists declare women inherently corrupt, and
more prone to "race-treason."  I declare, rather, we must examine not what
fails to attract the ladies, but what actually attracts the males. 

Deep down, _every_ Aryan male within the "movement" feels an unmistakable
sexual frustration.  Especially so unattached males, but nearly all males
in general.  It's a matter of "darkie getting blondie." 

He who denies this is a liar. 

The "movement's" entertaining aspects serve as a diversion and a release
for the sexual tension all racially-conscious Aryan males experience each
and every day multi-culturalism is encountered.  In a short-sighted yet
gratifying manner, cussing "niggers" and bitching about "the ZOG,"
listening to the latest pseudo-revolutionary idiocy the drunkards have
screeched out, or reading the latest moronic missive by a self-serving,
money-grubbing guru are imagined to be "fighting for the Race." Reality,
however, is that it's a cop-out, a feel-good recipe to soothe hyperactive
hormones. 

Young Aryan males need to stop whining like those they condemn and start
acting like men.  Never mind that Tyrone and Juan are "getting some" with
Stacy and Heather -- they'll find their fate by their own choosing. 
Concern yourselves with acting like _real men_, gentlemen, and present our
racial sisters with something they'd be _attracted_ to.  No more cowardly
bullshit -- no more excuses.  Most women want _men_ -- not just males --
who are wise, successful (at least to a reasonable degree), and strong
spiritually and physically.  The simple reason the "movement" "lacks"
women is because the ladies see it as best a joke, full of losers and
cry-babies (despite the delusionary "successes" I and others have
"accomplished"); at worst, a social menace around which a family should
_never_ be raised.  Most Aryan women are not born "race-traitors."  But,
neither are they drawn to the shameful imbecility which is the "movement." 

Throughout my "movement" career, I made countless excuses for the
debauchery, the decadence, the dishonesty within its ranks.  I told myself
the "movement" was a holy cause, a just association, but with a few

action "for the cause" is blessed by God and justified as a tactical
necessity to "achieve the 14 Words." 

Big talk has big consequences.  When rational folk are the audience, most
anything can be discussed freely.  However, when the corrupt "movement" of
frustrated fanatics is emboldened by the revolutionary zeal of a leader's
tomes, unfortunate circumstances result. 

Don't YOU end up being the fool who does prison for Pierce or receives a
bullet for Burdi.  You are accomplishing NOTHING.  Repeat after me,
"NOTHING."  The "revolutionary" hurts while others hoard money because of
his efforts.  The obsessed activist who puts into practice what he has
learned isn't a "martyr for the cause," but instead a dead kid whose
memory and family's sorrow will be ripe for the profiteers to exploit with
new merchandise.  Not a "hero," because heroism means achieving something
of timeless importance. 

I am not asking anyone to "join the Enemy," as the profiteering liars and
their blind stooges have alleged against me.  I'm not asking you to give
up any of your heart-felt ideals.  As I said -- as you know -- I feel as
you do about things.  I'm not happy with the demise of our countries.  I'm
not discarding the memory of our past, the proud legacy of our heritage. 
You don't have to, either. 

What you DO have to do is cease your "movement" nonsense, as I have done.
What you DO have to do is -- I hate saying this -- get a life! You can,
and you will, _if you want to_, if you act like an Aryan man should. 
Pissing and moaning won't get you anywhere.  Having the courage to walk
away from the stupidity in which we have participated, _will_. 

I don't love the System.  You don't love the System.  We don't have to. 
As millions of North Americans and Europeans don't.  Neither do we have to
advocate fruitless "revolution" against it, which brings forth merely
civilian casualties and powerful excuses to "wipe out the racists."  We
may, as millions do, practice "prepared neutrality," and peaceful
disobedience to oppression.  We simply don't have to participate in the
charade of "elections," and can refuse to comply with injustice against
us. 

The "movement," with its shallow lip-service to ideals, and lack of honor
and wisdom does not and _can not_ offer a sound alternative to what the
System offers.  Both the "movement" and the System operate with
_materialistic_ premises, upon a base plane of the visible world. 
Righteousness is not a precept founded in the material world, but one of a
higher plane, a spiritual plane. 

We Aryans are, and always have been, our own worst enemy.  In fact, there
is NO "enemy" besides ourselves.  The cowards, frauds and losers blame all
Jews, all Blacks, and all other non-Whites for our own failings.  WE, not
they, lack the character to advance ourselves.  WE, not they, refuse to
accept responsibility for our shortcomings.  In infantile jealousy
"movement" leaders put forth hateful orgasmic fantasies of conquest and

the COURAGE, to advance themselves where we have _abdicated_. 

You know this to be true.  Be a man and admit it aloud. 

I am no longer at war with the Jews, or the Blacks, or with those Aryans

conquest" against those failings and shortcomings shared by all "movement" 
adherents, past and present.  I have surrendered to no one, and I ask no
one _to_ "surrender."  I call for a mature examination of the realities

play-pen of the "movement," into a clearer understanding of the realities
and mysteries of Life. 

Evil lies within us, not without.  The struggle against evil will occur,
and be victorious, within the soul alone.  The events we see in the world
today which we find repugnant are a result not of evil Jews foisting an
evil scheme upon us, but of corrupt individuals of many races and many
ideologies, but mostly of our own, serving themselves when they should
have served God and Life instead.  Terror and base hatred in the physical
world cannot and _will not_ solve anything -- strength of the soul can and
will bring all that is our Destiny.  Struggle against people and systems
is the easy, simplistic way, and struggle against oneself has always been
the increasingly less followed path.  No man -- whatever he does -- can
govern the world, but the wise man can govern himself.  Our soul is the
only thing we own...or we can surrender. 

Without followers, phony "leaders" are nothing.  Be a leader yourself. 
Resign yourself from the moribund "movement" and let the fraudulent
"fuehrers" exploit each other. 

_Don't be left behind_.  A few of us are pioneering a new path of
time-tested traditions, a righteous path, and the only path which can
protect those things of beauty which we love.

neither are they drawn to the shameful imbecility which is the "movement." 

Throughout my "movement" career, I made countless excuses for the
debauchery, the decadence, the dishonesty within its ranks.  I told myself
the "movement" was a holy cause, a just association, but with a few
corrupt elements within it. 

However, today, I hold a more honest -- and accurate -- view.  The
"movement" is _not_ an association of good, noble people working for a
great cause, containing a few corrupt elements.  Rather, it is, in
reality, a corrupt "movement" of ignoble aims with a few idealistic but
misguided souls within its ranks. 

Were the "movement" merely a circus of talk, then the only harm done would
be to the self-esteem and reputation of the clowns in its rings.  But, as
has been seen too many times, certain elements within its ranks --
unstable, shortsighted and/or desperate elements -- believe violent direct
action "for the cause" is blessed by God and justified as a tactical
necessity to "achieve the 14 Words." 

Big talk has big consequences.  When rational folk are the audience, most
anything can be discussed freely.  However, when the corrupt "movement" of
frustrated fanatics is emboldened by the revolutionary zeal of a leader's
tomes, unfortunate circumstances result. 

Don't YOU end up being the fool who does prison for Pierce or receives a
bullet for Burdi.  You are accomplishing NOTHING.  Repeat after me,
"NOTHING."  The "revolutionary" hurts while others hoard money because of
his efforts.  The obsessed activist who puts into practice what he has
learned isn't a "martyr for the cause," but instead a dead kid whose
memory and family's sorrow will be ripe for the profiteers to exploit with
new merchandise.  Not a "hero," because heroism means achieving something
of timeless importance. 

I am not asking anyone to "join the Enemy," as the profiteering liars and
their blind stooges have alleged against me.  I'm not asking you to give
up any of your heart-felt ideals.  As I said -- as you know -- I feel as
you do about things.  I'm not happy with the demise of our countries.  I'm
not discarding the memory of our past, the proud legacy of our heritage. 
You don't have to, either. 

What you DO have to do is cease your "movement" nonsense, as I have done.
What you DO have to do is -- I hate saying this -- get a life! You can,
and you will, _if you want to_, if you act like an Aryan man should. 
Pissing and moaning won't get you anywhere.  Having the courage to walk
away from the stupidity in which we have participated, _will_. 

I don't love the System.  You don't love the System.  We don't have to. 
As millions of North Americans and Europeans don't.  Neither do we have to
advocate fruitless "revolution" against it, which brings forth merely
civilian casualties and powerful excuses to "wipe out the racists."  We
may, as millions do, practice "prepared neutrality," and peaceful
disobedience to oppression.  We simply don't have to participate in the
charade of "elections," and can refuse to comply with injustice against
us. 

The "movement," with its shallow lip-service to ideals, and lack of honor
and wisdom does not and _can not_ offer a sound alternative to what the
System offers.  Both the "movement" and the System operate with
_materialistic_ premises, upon a base plane of the visible world. 
Righteousness is not a precept founded in the material world, but one of a
higher plane, a spiritual plane. 

We Aryans are, and always have been, our own worst enemy.  In fact, there
is NO "enemy" besides ourselves.  The cowards, frauds and losers blame all
Jews, all Blacks, and all other non-Whites for our own failings.  WE, not
they, lack the character to advance ourselves.  WE, not they, refuse to
accept responsibility for our shortcomings.  In infantile jealousy
"movement" leaders put forth hateful orgasmic fantasies of conquest and
nuclear revenge against those peoples who have the stamina, the insight,
the COURAGE, to advance themselves where we have _abdicated_. 

You know this to be true.  Be a man and admit it aloud. 

I am no longer at war with the Jews, or the Blacks, or with those Aryans
who choose non-White mates.  I am at war with myself, on a "campaign of
conquest" against those failings and shortcomings shared by all "movement" 
adherents, past and present.  I have surrendered to no one, and I ask no
one _to_ "surrender."  I call for a mature examination of the realities
behind the cliches, beyond the assumptions.  I have evolved beyond the
play-pen of the "movement," into a clearer understanding of the realities
and mysteries of Life. 

Evil lies within us, not without.  The struggle against evil will occur,
and be victorious, within the soul alone.  The events we see in the world
today which we find repugnant are a result not of evil Jews foisting an
evil scheme upon us, but of corrupt individuals of many races and many
ideologies, but mostly of our own, serving themselves when they should
have served God and Life instead.  Terror and base hatred in the physical
world cannot and _will not_ solve anything -- strength of the soul can and
will bring all that is our Destiny.  Struggle against people and systems
is the easy, simplistic way, and struggle against oneself has always been
the increasingly less followed path.  No man -- whatever he does -- can
govern the world, but the wise man can govern himself.  Our soul is the
only thing we own...or we can surrender. 

Without followers, phony "leaders" are nothing.  Be a leader yourself. 
Resign yourself from the moribund "movement" and let the fraudulent
"fuehrers" exploit each other. 

_Don't be left behind_.  A few of us are pioneering a new path of
time-tested traditions, a righteous path, and the only path which can
protect those things of beauty which we love.

After being contacted by the national office of the National Alliance
early this morning about the essay "Duty," I deem it necessary to issue
the following statement. 

Quoting from "Duty": 

"Big talk has big consequences.  When rational folk are the audience, most
anything can be discussed freely.  However, when the corrupt "movement" of
frustrated fanatics is emboldened by the revolutionary zeal of a leader's
tomes, unfortunate circumstances result." 

When a well-known leader and author such as William L. Pierce makes highly
provocative statements such as were made in his novels _the Turner
Diaries_ or _Hunter_, shysteresque side-stepping cannot excuse the _moral
responsibility_ an author holds for creating a vision, whether rooted in
fact or fiction, that unstable, dangerous elements in our society will
certainly misinterpret, regardless of the real intentions of the author. 

While an author of a novel is not criminally responsible for the
unfortunate and sometimes evil acts his works implicitly encourage, that
author _is_ morally responsible as if he had perpetrated the harm done by
the perpetrator himself.  While the author who creates a provocative
vision through the power of the written word will not have to stand in a
court of law, that author indeed stands before the "court" of society,
which suffers such harms. 

I have made numerous provocative statements myself, statements I deeply
regret.  I realize they were misplaced and wrong, but while I was merely
venting anger and resentment through those statements, there remains a
distinct possibility that an unstable and dangerous individual will be
"inspired" by these statements, and take action which he sees as being
necessary to implement the vision _I_ created. 

I am a moral person, and always have been.  Certainly not following the
morals of most of my former adversaries, but nonetheless one who is
governed by ethics.  As a noted Net activist has said, I came to a
crossroads in my "movement" career: depart, and admit my errors; or
consciously choose evil, and continue on. My morality, my belief in
righteousness, forced me to choose the former, and I am pleased I had the
moral strength to choose that path.  My recovery from my past and my
future path is my own choice now.  And, my morality compels me to make at
least a small effort to correct the wrongs, to counterbalance the
potential evils my comments and my work may yet foster. 

Unstable and dangerous elements who read the works of William Pierce, and
are energized by his clear vision of what he wishes, will in the future
perpetrate horrible acts.  I don't know whether the allegations against
Tim McVeigh are correct, specifically in regards to his association with
_the Turner Diaries_ and the White Nationalist "movement," but the
situation appears that he may have indeed been inspired to a powerful
degree by the "fictional" vision in _the Turner Diaries_. 

William Pierce, to my knowledge, has never actively encouraged anyone to
engage in illegal behavior.  Quite the contrary, he has always insisted
his followers steer well clear of illegal acts and conspiracy. 

I, too, during my "movement" career encouraged those who respected me and
read my writings with pleasure to avoid illegality of any sort.  Not
because I had a problem with illegality at that time, but rather because
_I did not want the government to have an excuse to lock people up_.  I
didn't want them to do prison time for something I encouraged --
implicitly or explicitly -- to do. 

Our society has a myriad number of weirdoes, freaks, loonies, and as my
friend in Oklahoma City says, "goofy phuckers."  Undoubtedly --
unfortunately -- some of them will attempt to implement visions they have
read, visions which should remain on pages of paper and in the angry mind
of its author.  They will do prison time for their "mentor," or worse,
"take a bullet" for them. 

I cannot change what has been done, and withdraw what has been written.  I
can, however, accept responsibility for what I have done, and do what I
can to see that my visions, which were products of a bitter man, are never
materialized.
