Dear Director Mueller,

I write you today with concerns based on my personal experiences.

Like my fellow Americans, I am horrified by the tragedies in New York
City, Washington, and Pennsylvania.  As a nation, it is essential that
we stand together as one People, one Team, to avert any future such
horrors.

However, it has come to my attention, that besides the fanatical
Islamic operatives within our country, I believe native elements of a
different sort pose a threat possibly equal to these extremists who
lurk in the shadows.

I am a former affiliate of the National Alliance, the extremist group
operated by the notorious William L. Pierce.  I understand the
mentality of its typical adherent, as I was one for several years, and
their unbalanced fanaticism is what ultimately drove me away.

I am monitoring several of the "white power" media sources, and
Pierce, among others, has taken the opportunity to attempt to
capitalize on the deaths and sufferings of their fellow Americans to
promote their sociopathic agendas.  Typical of their distorted
worldview, to them these attacks are not truly the sole responsibility
of deranged lunatics, but in their minds it is "America's fault" that
thousands are dead and a nation mourns.

It is my belief that the hatred endemic within the so-called "white
power movement" is a danger far beyond the ordinary today.  I believe
that many of its adherents hold such a psychotic hatred of Israel and
Jews, and their own government, that some of them may actively assist
Islamic fanatics.

I would urge you to direct your organization to pay special attention
to racial extremists at the present time, if you have not done so
already.  It is in no way inconceivable that racial extremists could
give "aid and comfort" to those who wish to harm America and
Americans.

May the blessings of Heaven be upon you, your family, your staff, and
our Nation.

German investigators into terrorist 'sleepers' have switched their
attention to right-wing extremists who could join forces with Islamic
fundamentalists.
Neo-Nazi groups applauded the 11 September suicide attacks on the
United States, and thanked the terrorists for 'knocking out' the
'common enemy': Americans and global capitalism. A message on the
website of Horst Mahler, the former extreme-left Red Army Faction
guerrilla who recently emerged as the leading ideologue of
extreme-right academics, congratulated the terrorists and expressed
solidarity with Islamic militants.

'The military attacks on the symbols of mammonistic world power were
utterly effective and therefore just,' he wrote in a statement that
was peppered with anti-Semitic comments.

Confronted with his remarks in a television interview, Mahler said the
attacks amounted to 'justified warfare by opponents of the global
structures in the United States, and they have my full sympathy'.

Another far-right group, National Resistance (NW), said 11 September
was a day for celebration.

'The attacks in the USA have received a hugely positive response on
the far Right,' said Hans-Joachim Kunz, of the Bavarian section of the
German Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV). 'The fact
is neo-Nazis and Islamic fundamentalists have a common ideology and
that is they both see the USA as their enemy.'

Following the attacks, neo-Nazis in the north-eastern town of
Stralsund publicly burnt an American flag. In Eisenach a neo-Nazi was
arrested after praising the attackers in a television interview.

A computer search began last week in the hunt for terrorists who may
be living in Germany. A federal official involved in the
investigations told The Observer: 'The two groups could be working
behind the scenes - sharing logistics or bomb-making skills - towards
a common goal. This would be a nightmare scenario.'

Security fears have been at fever pitch since it emerged that seven of
the terrorists involved in the suicide attacks on the US had lived and
studied in Germany.

The extreme Right is known to have been stockpiling firearms and
bomb-making equipment in recent years. This has raised fears of a
large-scale terrorist campaign, particularly in the light of a
government-led initiative to ban the far-right National Democratic
Party (NPD) which will come into force later this year.

The Bizarre Alliance: The Threat From Another Column


A bizarre alliance of ideas, strategy, and logistics
has manifested itself in the first few weeks of this
present war.

This alliance is, for the most part, unspoken and
unorganized, but nonetheless it exists.  It brings
together two highly diverse camps of fanatics, both
extreme in their bigotry and violent rhetoric and
actions.

Those two camps are the neo-Nazi and Islamic
extremists.

This alliance is bizarre because it brings together
two ideologies which, rationally, should violently
clash.  One, advocating the supremacy of a race, the
other advocating the supremacy of a religion, neither
of which are compatible.  Normally, neo-Nazis hate
"non-Aryans," like most Muslims, and Muslims hate
"infidels," neo-Nazis being Christians, pagans, or
atheists.  But, because their hatred of the Jews is
paramount in their ideologies, they work towards the
same goals; "the enemy of my enemy is my friend."

This alliance is not new, though its relevance becomes
far more important in the present day.  Past National
Socialists, including Adolf Hitler, praised Islamic
leaders during the Third Reich, and many "Aryan elite"
SS officers escaped to Middle Eastern countries to
escape the Allies.  For decades, Muslims, and "white
nationalists" & Holocaust revisionists have worked
together for political purposes, viewing the tragedies
of the Jews during World War II, largely accurately
(nor unjustified), as a means by which Israelis can
influence public opinion.  Today, German intelligence
reports Islamic funding of German neo-Nazi groups, and
neo-Nazi condemnation of this present war as a "Jewish
war" is ubiquitous in the "white nationalist
movement," essays from William L. Pierce to David Duke
making the rounds.

Because this alliance is fueled by a psychotic hatred
of the Jews and the socio-political fanaticism of
totalitarianism, it is imperative that we do not
underestimate the threat posed to our countries and
way of life.  Both Islamic "jihad" groups such as
Al-Qaeda and Hamas, and "white revolution" groups such
as the National Alliance and the "Church of the
Creator," 
possess the will, the technical means, and the
determination to effect havoc upon society, despite
the fact neither will ulimately achieve their goals. 
Unlike common killers bent on a bigger body count,
none of these groups seek to kill for its own sake. 
The goal is to destabilize society through terror and
"propaganda of the deed" -- actions which have 
little material effect but great, even catastrophic
psychological effect.  The curent Anthrax problem is a
perfect example of this: minimal death, but tens of
millions terrified, and everyone taking steps to
change their normal routine to accomodate minimal
protections.  The goal: demonstrate that our Nation,
though great in spirit and military might, is
vulnerable.

I'm not convinced that the first instances of
biowarfare have been effected by alien powers.  It
could very well be that domestic subversive ntities,
"home grown terrorists," possibly even with foreign
funding, as with German neo-Nazis, have distributed
some or all f the envelope vectors, solely to disrupt
and terrorize America.  Purpose: because the US
Government is seen as a "Jewish enemy," domestic
entities take opportunity with the fallout of the
Al-Qaeda effected actions of September 11th to further
their common goals.

Many are highly, rightfully suspicious of Muslims
within America, taking note of the Koran's
commandments to slaughter "infidels," & the realities
of Muslim-American support for, and in common
instances, excusal of, the horrors of September 11th. 
However, the "lily white" threat must not be
underestimated.  There are dozens, if not hundreds of
groups and thousands of individuals in our country who
are native-born, European-heritage adherents of
fanatical, totalitarian ideology of a different sort. 
While the Muslims who support, condone, and excuse
anti-American terrorism may be a "Fifth Column,"
indigenous anti-American elements whose loyalties to
cult and sub-culture rise above that of their country,
may prove to be a "Sixth Column" we must deal with
accordingly.

The alliance between the followers of Allah and Hitler
is a problem to be recognized, and confronted.

Let's see now: I don't run a cult for my personal financial and ego

On the other hand, since I've dumped your so-called "movement," which

have a wonderful family that I love, and who loves me; in my
profession I help other people with *their* mental problems (and other
things); and I'm comfortable, but not rich, from *honest* work that
doesn't victimize anyone else.  Far more than can be said of 88% of

You'd be surprised how understanding and accepting most people are. 
People who know me personally like me and enjoy being around me.  When
my "past" *has* come up, ironically, it doesn't take much explaining,
since my friends and associates *like* who I *am*, not what I was --
or who they think I might have been.  They almost find an intriguing
"novelty" in it...a swastika-laden "James Bond" intrigue enters their
mind.  Few believe that I was once a Nazi propagandist -- I just don't
fit the "profile."  So much the better.  Lessons learned, experience
gained.

Of course I only speak for myself.  As for George Burdi, it appears
he's achieved a level of happiness and wisdom that was lacking in his
life, my life, previously.  I wish him well.  And I wouldn't be
surprised at what he's able to do in the future.

Only the fanatics give us shit for who we've been.  But then, they're
hardly better than those they fight against.

Why don't you explain why the Muslim fanatics attacked Europe at the
Battles of Tours and Wien centuries ago, if it's all "because of the
Jews"?

Egyptian leader Mubarak made a statement recently saying that bin
Laden had no concern for the Palestinians before the bombings...now
he's just using it as an excuse to promote his "religion."  Bin Laden
is not at war with America because of the Jews...he's at war with
America because Islam is a demonic "religion" and bin Laden, unlike
many Muslims, takes seriously what the Koran teaches about "infidels,"
and applies its commands.

be locked up for treason.  Read the Constitution's clause on

No, I support the facts and sanity.  There is no "Jewish conspiracy"
running the world.  And AIPAC is no different from the hundreds of
other lobbies in DC...except they have no money to spend.  If you want
to get rid of lobbies, I'm all for it...but AIPAC is no more sinister
than most of the others.

So?  They're well organized.  And wealthy.  I certainly don't consider
the NRA as sinister -- I'm a gun owner.  The fact that AIPAC is well

Many American Right-Wing Racial Extremists Applaud
Sept. 11 Attacks

With the towers of the World Trade Center fatally
damaged but still standing, a leader in one of the
many splinter groups of the Far Right fringe of
American politics posted a Web site message praising
the "Islamic freedom fighters" and hoping the
terrorist attacks were the first shots in a racial
holy war that would topple the U.S. government.

"May the WAR be started," wrote August Kreis,
webmaster of the neo-Nazi Sheriff's Posse Comitatus
group, based in Ulysses, Pa. "DEATH to His (God's)
enemies, may the World Trade Center BURN TO THE
GROUND! ... We can blame no others than ourselves for
our problems due to the fact that we allow ... Satan's
children, called jews today, to have dominion over our
lives."

While many Americans are swept up in the patriotic
fervor that has followed the Sept. 11 jetliner
assaults on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center,
the loose and fractious network of neo-Nazis,
skinheads, Klansmen, Christian patriots,
neo-Confederates and white separatists have had a far
different reaction.

In newsgroup postings, Web site articles and Internet
radio broadcasts,they have expressed everything from
outright admiration for the Arab terrorists to more
measured communiques. The latter condemn the
terrorists,but blame the attacks on an American
foreign policy that unabashedly backs Israel, calling
for an "America First" shift toward isolationism.

The most hardcore response comes from groups that see
themselves at war with the U.S. government, which they
have dubbed the Zionist Occupation Government, or ZOG.
Despite their racial and religious beliefs, they
express solidarity with anyone who attacks what they
see as the common enemy.

It is a sign of a pronounced generational shift of
beliefs in the radical American Right and increased
willingness to monitor international events to find
philosophical allies in groups that an earlier wave of
racists dismissed as "mud people."

War against ZOG -- the U.S. government -- is the
ultimate target of America's racial revolutionaries
and overrides all other considerations. ZOG is a
tagline from "The Turner Diaries," a novel of racist
revolution by neo-Nazi National Alliance leader
William Pierce that has become a guidebook for many
racists and anti-government zealots, including
executed Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

In a bulletin board message documented by KlanWatch,
the investigative arm of the civil rights watchdog
group, the Southern Poverty Law Center, National
Alliance deputy Billy Roper wrote: "The enemy of our
enemy is, for now at least, our friends. We may not
want them marrying our daughter, just as they would
not want us marrying theirs. We may not want them in
our societies, just as they would not want us in
theirs. But anyone who is willing to drive a plane
into a building to kill jews is alright by me. I wish
our members had half as much testicular fortitude."

On his daily Web site bulletin board, White Aryan
Resistance (WAR) leader Tom Metzger wrote: "This
operation took some long-term planning, and,
throughout the entire time, these soldiers were aware
that their lives would be sacrificed for their cause.
If an Aryan wants an example of `Victory or Valhalla,'
look no further."

Civil rights watchdogs who monitor these groups say
sentiments like those expressed by Metzger and Roper
are common among white separatists and anti-government
zealots and are a marked departure from the fanatical
patriotism, anti-Communist fervor and white supremacy
espoused by movement founders like William Potter
Gale, the ex-Army colonel who formed the Posse
Comitatus, or 1960s-era Klan leaders like Robert
Shelton of Alabama.

There is also a parroting of the anti-free trade,
anti-global capitalism rhetoric commonly found among
the left-leaning street protesters who have hounded
meetings of the World Trade Organization and World
Bank, sparking riots in Seattle and in Italy, experts
say.

"Thirty years ago, these people wrapped themselves in
the flag, were rabidly anti-Communist and fought
against the civil rights movement," said Mark Potok,
KlanWatch spokesman and editor of its quarterly
Intelligence Report.

"Today, these people despise America, they despise
capitalism, they despise globalism and racial and
religious diversity. What was essentially a
restorationist movement, like the Klan wanting to
restore Southern apartheid ... is an utterly
revolutionary radical right today."

Paired with an increasing awareness of international
events and the Internet-driven ability to communicate
instantly with like-minded groups in Europe, America's
racially driven activists have expressed support for
the "ethnic cleansing" campaigns of deposed Serbian
leader Slobodan Milosevic and the push for a
Palestinian homeland and the "intifada" against
Israel.

Common philosophical ground can be found between the
radical Islamic fundamentalists of Osama bin Laden,
prime suspect in the jetliner attacks, and the radical
racists of the American right, said Brian Levin,
director of the Center for the Study of Hate and
Extremism at the California State University at San
Bernardino.

"It turns on religious purity, geographic purity and a
rigid philosophy on how society should be ordered,"
Levin said. "Both want their own homeland,
hermetically sealed, where they can practice their own
exclusionary, religion-based social order. In many
ways, American racial radicals mirror the intolerant,
extremist groups you see on the international scene."

Not everyone in the Far Right supports the terrorists
who attacked America.

"That's unfortunate," former Alabama Klan leader Don
Black said of Billy Roper's expression of admiration.

Black now runs a string of white separatist Web sites
called Stormfront out of his West Palm Beach, Fla.,
home. He and fellow former Klan leader David Duke, an
unsuccessful candidate for governor and U.S. senator
in Louisiana, condemn the attacks, but use them as a
platform for sharp criticism of American support of
Israel and a call for a more isolationalist foreign
policy.

Duke, in an article entitled "Will Anyone Dare to Ask
Why?" that is posted on both his and Black's Web
sites, calls Israel's increasingly bloody fight with
the Palestinians "a policy of ethnic cleansing," and
invokes the history of Israel's own terrorist
campaigns against the British and Arab residents of
what was then called Palestine.

"Let me be very, very blunt," Duke writes of the Sept.
11 attacks on America. "The ultimate cause of this
terrorism stems directly from our involvement in and
support of the criminal behavior of Israel."

Black downplayed the number of "white nationalists"
expressing support for the terrorists who attacked
America and called for swift punishment of those
responsible. But at the same time, he found common
ground with Palestinian nationalists.

"We don't have too many people who are sympathetic to
the terrorists, but there are people who are
sympathetic to the Palestinian cause," he said. The
Palestinians "have their own agenda, but we certainly
do share their dislike of American foreign policy
being controlled by Israel."

Militia groups and neo-Confederate organizations like
the League of the South also condemn the attacks and
call for swift revenge. But they, too, use this deadly
incident as a platform to launch broadsides on their
own pet topics, be it immigration policy that they see
as too open and destructive of traditional American
values or concern that war fever will cause the
government to clamp down on civil liberties.

In an article documented by KlanWatch, League of the
South president Michael Hill wrote: "In part, these
events sprang from an `open borders' policy that has
for the past four decades encouraged massive Third
World immigration and thus cultural destabilization.
... This is America's wake-up call to forsake its
idolatry and to return to its true Christian and
Constitutional foundations."

Hill's sentiments were amplified by a more mainstream
public figure, conservative evangelist Jerry Falwell,
one of the founders of the politically active Moral
Majority. "I really believe that the pagans, and the
abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the
lesbians. ... I point the finger in their face and say
`You helped this happen,"' Falwell said during the
week of the attacks.

Falwell and fellow religious conservative Pat
Robertson, who expressed support for Falwell's
position, were roundly criticized for these remarks
and backed off them.

But where mainstream religious leaders see a public
relations nightmare, leaders of Far Right fringe
organizations see an opportunity.

In a Web site post documented by KlanWatch, Matt Hale,
leader of the neo-Nazi World Church of the Creator,
wrote: "The time is at hand to preach ... why these
attacks: the control of the United States government
by International Jewry. ... We must NOT allow this
opportunity to be squandered."

I call it the Empire of Islam, a threat to world peace and
civilization.  "Anti-Zionism" is just one of its facets.

Because Israel is a beacon in the region showing them just how
backwards and incapable they really are.

"Anti-white"?  Is that what you call a "white nationalist" who
apologizes for, and even works with, Osama bin Laden?

Many American Right-Wing Racial Extremists Applaud
Sept. 11 Attacks

With the towers of the World Trade Center fatally
damaged but still standing, a leader in one of the
many splinter groups of the Far Right fringe of
American politics posted a Web site message praising
the "Islamic freedom fighters" and hoping the
terrorist attacks were the first shots in a racial
holy war that would topple the U.S. government.

"May the WAR be started," wrote August Kreis,
webmaster of the neo-Nazi Sheriff's Posse Comitatus
group, based in Ulysses, Pa. "DEATH to His (God's)
enemies, may the World Trade Center BURN TO THE
GROUND! ... We can blame no others than ourselves for
our problems due to the fact that we allow ... Satan's
children, called jews today, to have dominion over our
lives."

While many Americans are swept up in the patriotic
fervor that has followed the Sept. 11 jetliner
assaults on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center,
the loose and fractious network of neo-Nazis,
skinheads, Klansmen, Christian patriots,
neo-Confederates and white separatists have had a far
different reaction.

In newsgroup postings, Web site articles and Internet
radio broadcasts,they have expressed everything from
outright admiration for the Arab terrorists to more
measured communiques. The latter condemn the
terrorists,but blame the attacks on an American
foreign policy that unabashedly backs Israel, calling
for an "America First" shift toward isolationism.

The most hardcore response comes from groups that see
themselves at war with the U.S. government, which they
have dubbed the Zionist Occupation Government, or ZOG.
Despite their racial and religious beliefs, they
express solidarity with anyone who attacks what they
see as the common enemy.

It is a sign of a pronounced generational shift of
beliefs in the radical American Right and increased
willingness to monitor international events to find
philosophical allies in groups that an earlier wave of
racists dismissed as "mud people."

War against ZOG -- the U.S. government -- is the
ultimate target of America's racial revolutionaries
and overrides all other considerations. ZOG is a
tagline from "The Turner Diaries," a novel of racist
revolution by neo-Nazi National Alliance leader
William Pierce that has become a guidebook for many
racists and anti-government zealots, including
executed Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.

In a bulletin board message documented by KlanWatch,
the investigative arm of the civil rights watchdog
group, the Southern Poverty Law Center, National
Alliance deputy Billy Roper wrote: "The enemy of our
enemy is, for now at least, our friends. We may not
want them marrying our daughter, just as they would
not want us marrying theirs. We may not want them in
our societies, just as they would not want us in
theirs. But anyone who is willing to drive a plane
into a building to kill jews is alright by me. I wish
our members had half as much testicular fortitude."

On his daily Web site bulletin board, White Aryan
Resistance (WAR) leader Tom Metzger wrote: "This
operation took some long-term planning, and,
throughout the entire time, these soldiers were aware
that their lives would be sacrificed for their cause.
If an Aryan wants an example of `Victory or Valhalla,'
look no further."

Civil rights watchdogs who monitor these groups say
sentiments like those expressed by Metzger and Roper
are common among white separatists and anti-government
zealots and are a marked departure from the fanatical
patriotism, anti-Communist fervor and white supremacy
espoused by movement founders like William Potter
Gale, the ex-Army colonel who formed the Posse
Comitatus, or 1960s-era Klan leaders like Robert
Shelton of Alabama.

There is also a parroting of the anti-free trade,
anti-global capitalism rhetoric commonly found among
the left-leaning street protesters who have hounded
meetings of the World Trade Organization and World
Bank, sparking riots in Seattle and in Italy, experts
say.

"Thirty years ago, these people wrapped themselves in
the flag, were rabidly anti-Communist and fought
against the civil rights movement," said Mark Potok,
KlanWatch spokesman and editor of its quarterly
Intelligence Report.

"Today, these people despise America, they despise
capitalism, they despise globalism and racial and
religious diversity. What was essentially a
restorationist movement, like the Klan wanting to
restore Southern apartheid ... is an utterly
revolutionary radical right today."

Paired with an increasing awareness of international
events and the Internet-driven ability to communicate
instantly with like-minded groups in Europe, America's
racially driven activists have expressed support for
the "ethnic cleansing" campaigns of deposed Serbian
leader Slobodan Milosevic and the push for a
Palestinian homeland and the "intifada" against
Israel.

Common philosophical ground can be found between the
radical Islamic fundamentalists of Osama bin Laden,
prime suspect in the jetliner attacks, and the radical
racists of the American right, said Brian Levin,
director of the Center for the Study of Hate and
Extremism at the California State University at San
Bernardino.

"It turns on religious purity, geographic purity and a
rigid philosophy on how society should be ordered,"
Levin said. "Both want their own homeland,
hermetically sealed, where they can practice their own
exclusionary, religion-based social order. In many
ways, American racial radicals mirror the intolerant,
extremist groups you see on the international scene."

Not everyone in the Far Right supports the terrorists
who attacked America.

"That's unfortunate," former Alabama Klan leader Don
Black said of Billy Roper's expression of admiration.

Black now runs a string of white separatist Web sites
called Stormfront out of his West Palm Beach, Fla.,
home. He and fellow former Klan leader David Duke, an
unsuccessful candidate for governor and U.S. senator
in Louisiana, condemn the attacks, but use them as a
platform for sharp criticism of American support of
Israel and a call for a more isolationalist foreign
policy.

Duke, in an article entitled "Will Anyone Dare to Ask
Why?" that is posted on both his and Black's Web
sites, calls Israel's increasingly bloody fight with
the Palestinians "a policy of ethnic cleansing," and
invokes the history of Israel's own terrorist
campaigns against the British and Arab residents of
what was then called Palestine.

"Let me be very, very blunt," Duke writes of the Sept.
11 attacks on America. "The ultimate cause of this
terrorism stems directly from our involvement in and
support of the criminal behavior of Israel."

Black downplayed the number of "white nationalists"
expressing support for the terrorists who attacked
America and called for swift punishment of those
responsible. But at the same time, he found common
ground with Palestinian nationalists.

"We don't have too many people who are sympathetic to
the terrorists, but there are people who are
sympathetic to the Palestinian cause," he said. The
Palestinians "have their own agenda, but we certainly
do share their dislike of American foreign policy
being controlled by Israel."

Militia groups and neo-Confederate organizations like
the League of the South also condemn the attacks and
call for swift revenge. But they, too, use this deadly
incident as a platform to launch broadsides on their
own pet topics, be it immigration policy that they see
as too open and destructive of traditional American
values or concern that war fever will cause the
government to clamp down on civil liberties.

In an article documented by KlanWatch, League of the
South president Michael Hill wrote: "In part, these
events sprang from an `open borders' policy that has
for the past four decades encouraged massive Third
World immigration and thus cultural destabilization.
... This is America's wake-up call to forsake its
idolatry and to return to its true Christian and
Constitutional foundations."

Hill's sentiments were amplified by a more mainstream
public figure, conservative evangelist Jerry Falwell,
one of the founders of the politically active Moral
Majority. "I really believe that the pagans, and the
abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the
lesbians. ... I point the finger in their face and say
`You helped this happen,"' Falwell said during the
week of the attacks.

Falwell and fellow religious conservative Pat
Robertson, who expressed support for Falwell's
position, were roundly criticized for these remarks
and backed off them.

But where mainstream religious leaders see a public
relations nightmare, leaders of Far Right fringe
organizations see an opportunity.

In a Web site post documented by KlanWatch, Matt Hale,
leader of the neo-Nazi World Church of the Creator,
wrote: "The time is at hand to preach ... why these
attacks: the control of the United States government
by International Jewry. ... We must NOT allow this
opportunity to be squandered."
