The Nizkor Project: Remembering the Holocaust (Shoah)

An Auschwitz Alphabet

A Mirror for CYBERsitter Users

Solid Oak Software has chosen to block The Ethical Spectacle's web site, in its entirety, to users of its software CYBERsitter. CYBERsitter is intended and marketed for parents, classrooms, and other environments where young people will be accessing the internet.

Nizkor takes no position as to the appropriateness of this action, because the reasons for this action are not yet clear (as of Jan. 20, 1997).

However, because we feel that young people may benefit from accessing material on that site which provides information about the Holocaust -- namely, An Auschwitz Alphabet -- we are providing a mirror of that material on our site:

An Auschwitz Alphabet Mirror

The Ethical Spectacle's press release on the CYBERsitter site-blocking is available at http://www.spectacle.org/alert/cs.html. For further information, contact Jonathan Wallace, jw@bway.net.

We are not aware that Solid Oak has provided information on this incident; if we become aware of any, we will link to that information from this page.
