Invitation Poster prepared by local artist Ingrid Steininger Several hundred pilgrims from France, Germany, Hungary and Austria followed the invitation and came to the original sites of the late martyrdom of MARCEL CALLO at MAUTHAUSEN, GUSEN and ST.GEORGEN/GUSEN.

The following official delegations commemorated Marcel and the many other victims of Deportation, Holocaust and Mauthausen-Gusen:

A sermon by The Bishop of Linz, Austria (the diocese where the Mauthausen, Gusen, Ebensee, etc. concentration camps were) was dedicated to Marcel Callo and the many other unknown victims of that complex in a pontifical service on October 5, 1997.

Even a young lady that lives around the remnants of the KZ Gusen II tunnels and that guides groups in the KZ Mauthausen Memorial Museum dedicated her most personal impressions of that week-end to this Marcel Callo pages.
