Beyond the Bombing: To date the most visible militia in Oklahoma, the
Oklahoma Citizens Militia operates in Eufaula, southeast of
Tulsa, under the leadership of denture maker Ross Hullett.
Hullett has condemned the April 1995 Oklahoma City bombing,
stating, "Christians don't do this to people." But Oklahoma
militia members also share the characteristic, paradoxical
"patriotism" of the broader movement. "I would lay down my
life for my country," member John Harrell told The Wall
Street Journal, "but I wouldn't spit on a congressman if he
were burning to death. "

Menace Grows," Anti-Defamation League, 1995.
