Uncommon Ground:
Though little seems to have come out of the relationship
reported by the Washington paper,
Metzger has continued to
promote the idea of Black and white racists joining forces.
The July 1993 issue of
Metzger's
WAR tabloid published a photo
of
Metzger meeting with Black Panther Militia director and
former Milwaukee Alderman Michael McGee; the two had
reportedly addressed a rally of 200 members of the New Black
Panther Party. The September 1993 issue of WAR similarly
reprinted an article from the Tampa, Florida, Tribune
discussing the proposed alliance of a local
Klan faction with
a Black separatist group, the Pan-African Inter-National
Movement (on the page opposite the
WAR newspaper item, Metzger printed a typically appalling anti-Black cartoon). The two
groups had met under the auspices of the now-defunct Church of
the Avenger, whose director, Charles Eidson, told the Tribune,
"We are anti-Jew.... The Jew is forcing the white and Black to
mix; they are our enemies."
Anti-Semitism remains the common link between Black and white
extremists, arguably more than even their professed interest
in racial separatism. Though the origins of virtually all
anti-Jewish stereotypes in popular currency are European and
Christian, white supremacists today are perhaps as likely to
borrow from NOI rhetoric as Black extremists such as BAHC are
to copy from white bigots. For example, the November 1993
issue of Instauration, a racist, anti-Semitic magazine
produced in Florida, published an article titled "Jews and the
American Revolution," which reproduced without attribution,
almost word-for-word, pp. 109-110 and 115-18 of NOI's The
Secret Relationship Between Blacks and Jews.
In January 1994, the Long Island chapter of the neo-Nazi SS
Action Group recorded a telephone propaganda message which
stated,
Similarly, in June 1994, Pennsylvania's
Keystone Knights of
the Ku Klux Klan recorded a telephone message that was in fact
a melange of closely paraphrased quotes from Khalid Muhammad
and Louis Farrakhan:
The message continued,
(The former remarks, of course, were lifted from Khalid
Muhammad's Kean College speech in November 1993; the latter
were taken from a March 11, 1984, radio broadcast by Minister
Farrakahn.)

The Black African Holocaust Council
and Other Links Between
Black and White Extremists
A Common Agenda
"This week, we would like to salute Khalid Abdul
Muhammad... for speaking out about the scummy business
practices of the Jews. If more niggers would listen to him and
more whites listen to us, we might be able to restore this
decrepit country. We must work together to eliminate the Jew,
the white race traitors, the Black race traitors, all other
spineless scum.... The only problem is that there's not enough
anti-Semitism. Wake up, white man!"
"Jews are the bloodsuckers of the Black
nation as well as the white nation. Jews own the Federal
Reserve Bank and control the White House from behind the
scene. They have names like Rubenstein, Goldstein, and
Silverstein because they have been stealing rubies, gold, and
silver all over the earty. The Jews brought the Holocaust upon
themselves because they have [sic] undermined the very fabric
of German society...."
"If telling the truth is an act against
Jews, then I'm guilty of being an anti-Semite, and I'm guilty
of telling the truth. What have I done? Who have I killed? I
warn you: be careful. You're putting yourself in dangerous
shoes. You Jews had your day with God and you didn't do what
you were supposed to. You have been the killer of all the
prophets. Now if you think I lie, you are only showing that
you are no better than your fathers. And that will be the
message this week for the Keystone Knights of the Ku Klux
Klan."
