While I had written articles and books in the past, they pertained mostly to the field of education and psychology. This book has immersed me in the field of history, and in finding my own place in history. I was faced with an endeavour in which I had no experience. However, reading material, documents, and a myriad of other support resources miraculously found their way to me. They were drawn into the process at the exact time when they were most needed.
When I started working on this book, I was computer illiterate. Although I am not technically inclined, I found the learning process much easier than I had expected.
Offers for help in typing, editing and proof reading and cheering me up came from my wonderful friends as well as from unexpected new sources.
I was unaware of the physical and emotional demands that this book would require. I found myself in a work-schedule of fourteen to sixteen hours per day for many months. Yet, I found that my energy level held up and I felt re-energized to meet the challenges of each day. I feel blessed to have been presented with the challenge of bringing this book to life. This endeavour will remain a continuous inspiration affecting all other aspects of my life.
